Manual session control
How does this work?
The dedicated server is always in one stage of a cycle: Lobby → Practice → Qualifying → Race → Results → Lobby. When you "Apply preset", the new track / car / rules are stored, and:
- If the server is currently in Lobby (idle), the new settings apply immediately.
- If a Practice / Qualify / Race is currently running, the new settings are queued and apply when the current race ends and the server cycles back to Lobby.
Use the buttons below to force the server through stages without waiting. End session & back to lobby is the "panic stop" — kill what's running, drop everyone back to lobby with whatever the latest applied settings are.
Tip: if your "Apply preset" or "Advance" doesn't seem to do anything (server stays in same state), use Restart dedicated server. This bounces the underlying process and the queued settings take effect cleanly.

Tips & behaviour
- Auto-loop: When a race finishes, the dedicated server returns to the lobby with the SAME settings, then re-runs qualifying → race. So clicking Apply once gives you continuous race night.
- Weather changes during race: set "Weather slots" to 2–4. Each slot is a weather state; the game smoothly interpolates between them across the race.
- AI difficulty 87+: hard but achievable. AI aggression is set per-player in the local game; the server can't override it.
- Top Gear "Reasonably Priced Car": use the Top Gear preset, lock the car (e.g. Renault Clio Cup, BMW 1M, Ford Escort RS1600), set Practice = 60min Race = 0 — pure hot-lap leaderboard.
- Mid-race changes: if a race is in progress, your changes are queued and apply when the lobby returns.
- Connection error after Apply: the dedicated server takes ~10s to restart between sessions; just wait and the live status badge will go green again.
